"RBC is a place where CHRIST is seen, LOVE is felt and LIVES are changed."

About Us

Restoration Bible Church (RBC) was birthed on January 21, 2007.  Our first service was held at 1300 I Street, NE, District of Columbia.  We were able to begin this awesome new ministry with twenty-five members under the qualified leadership of Reverend Alfie S. Lewis (Pastor/Founder).  Wednesday night bible study and Sunday School were implanted the following week.

In September, 2007 RBC Bible Church, relocated to Wilkinson Elementary School, 2330 Pomeroy Road, SE Washington, DC.  Service was held in their auditorium for Sunday morning worship Computer savvy members were able to tune into the internet on Wednesday evening, for Bible Study.

December 9, 2007 RBC was recognized as a Baptist Church in the community.  To celebrate this auspicious occasion, we held a three night revival, which conclude with Sunday evening worship.  Pastor Johnnie L. Abraham and the Harvest Assembly Baptist Church family were in attendance.

Our first baptismal service was held in April of 2008 at Greater Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  We had one candidate which was a teenager making this an exceptional service.

While our membership was growing and new ministries being formed.  Restoration never let it get far from sight that we needed a building to create a sanctuary.  Alas, we completed another circle in December 2008 when we moved to our new location, 6330 Marlboro Pike District Heights, Maryland. This journey began with a three night revival. We plowed through, the vineyards again. Our guest preachers took us through with absolute revelation and conviction of the plans for RBC. Even though we know this is not our resting place, we are thankful for this season and space. With gratitude and faith in our hearts, we look forward to another season of transition and shifting to a new place according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

We the great members of the church pray we continue to restore lives and win souls for Christ as we continue on this journey.  We thank God for all of the great and wonderful things he has bestowed upon us thus far.
